WWU to Host Lifestyle Expert Steven Aldana Feb. 28

BELLINGHAM - Western Washington University's Center for Healthy Living will host healthy-lifestyles educator Steven Aldana, a former professor of lifestyle medicine at Brigham Young University, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, in Miller Hall 163. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Aldana will present "10 to 20 Years of Extra Life - The Choice is Yours," which will cover such topics as preventing disease and extending your life through healthy behaviors such as weight loss and lifestyle changes.

Aldana is the founder and president of the Lifestyle Research Group, an organization that specializes in evaluation and development of programs that improve health by reducing health risks. He is also the author of "The Culprit and the Cure," which is used by more than 4,500 companies to boost productivity and reduce employee-related health expenses. Aldana has appeared on CNN and been interviewed by Newsweek, Family Circle, Self, Redbook, and Web MD.
