Viking TV, the television show from the student-run station KVIK, is produced several times per quarter, with students covering a variety of topics related to the WWU campus. The latest episode includes, among other things, an interview with Holocaust survivor Noemi Ban and a visit to the recent Drawing Jam event in the VU Gallery.

Francisco Rios has been appointed to serve as dean for the Wooding College of Education at Western Washington University, Provost Catherine Riordan announced Tuesday.

“I am absolutely delighted to be able to announce that Dr. Francisco Rios will become the next dean of Woodring College of Education. His experience as a faculty member, academic administrator and educational leader on the national scene has prepared him well for this position. We all found his passion for the work of Woodring College – and the opportunity to build on the college’s strengths and to hone an inclusive vision for the future – to be truly exciting,” Riordan said.


Faculty and Staff parking permit applications will be available online at 8 a.m. Monday, April 25. Applications will be considered late after 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 13.
