TAG was founded in 1999 to serve technology companies in Whatcom, Skagit, Island and San Juan counties. Our mission is to promote, educate, and advocate for Northwest Washington technology businesses. TAG is affiliated with the Washington Technology Industry Association (previously known as WSA) and as a TAG member you enjoy dual membership with the WTIA.

TAG's Annual Holiday & Scholarship Awards Lunch
On December 4 TAG and members kicked off the Holiday season in style with our year-end scholarship awards program and holiday event. This is our way of giving back to our community and supporting the future of technology in our area.
Members enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by the the award winning Culinary Arts students of Bellingham Technical College at the BTC restaurant.

On Friday October 17 Derek Johnson, CEO and Founder of local tech startup Tatango gave a presentation at the monthly TAG meeting.
With the vision to provide groups a free, easy, and fast way to communicate with group members via SMS, Derek Johnson founded Tatango.com (formerly networkText) in 2007. Initially started as a way for his Fraternity to communicate with his Fraternity brothers, Tatango.com has grown to become a multi-million dollar leader in this industry.

July TAG Luncheon with Ken Myer, CEO/President of Washington Technology Industry Assocation (WTIA)

On July 18 TAG's meeting featured Ken Myer, President & CEO of the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA), the largest state-wide association of technology companies and executives in the world with more than 1,000 member companies. Ken will gave a brief update on the state of technology in Washington and will also gave an overview of programs available to TAG members through our association.
