U.S. Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Paul Thomas, loadmaster of Coast Guard C130 airplane from Airstation Barbers Point, HI., loads a pallet of milk, January 24, In Jakarta, Indonesia, in preparation for a delivery to Banda Aceh, Indonesia as the Coast Guard aid to tsunami victims continues daily. Two C130 airplanes and three crews from Barbers Point, HI., Sacramento, Calif., and Clearwater, Fla., are currently deployed to Southeast Asia to deliver aid to tsunami victims, and are currently staging out of Malaysia making daily trips to the affected cities and aid distribution points of Banda Aceh, Indonesia, Utaphao, Thailand, and various cities in Sri Lanka. U.S. Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Paul Thomas, from Barbers Point, HI., makes his third attempt of trying to get spilled rice out of the rollers of the Barbers Point, HI., C130 airplane, January 21, after delivering over 29,000 pounds of rice to Banda Aceh the day before. On January 21, the two Coast Guard C130 airplanes which are deployed to Southeast Asia loaded 40,000 pounds of emergency food, malayria pills, and tents to the tsunami aid distribution point of Medan, Indonesia, as the Coast Guards effort to bring aid to tsunami victims continue, they are flying daily missions to various distribution points in Southeast Asia.
