ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Petty Officer Chuck Bennett and two children from Baranof Elementary School are “rescued” while on a tour at the Coast Guard Air Station in Sitka. The air station crew hosted 102 Baranof Elementary School students at the facility on Tuesday, May 17. The students, parents and teachers were treated to a film about the Coast Guard, a “hands on tour” of the air station’s helicopters and a ride on the rescue basket and strop. For many of the children, it was their first time seeing a Coast Guard helicopter and meeting some of the Air Station Sitka crew. (Official U.S. Coast Guard Photo by Glenn Grossman.)
