Chinese delegates tour Kodiak Alaska Fresh Seafoods Plant (2)
KODIAK, Alaska – Two members of a Chinese delegation discuss how Sablefish is stacked for freezing before the fish is wheeled into freezers at the Kodiak Alaska Fresh Seafoods plant, April 11. The delegation consists of 16 Fisheries Law Enforcement Command members from the People’s Republic of China. The group is in Kodiak for the week engaging in a fisheries enforcement exchange with Coast Guard and community members. In addition to the AFS tour the delegation also walked the docks and visited the fishing vessel Alaskan during the afternoon. The morning was spent discussing fisheries management and enforcement. The delegation consists of 16 Fisheries Law Enforcement Command members from the People’s Republic of China. The group is in Kodiak for the week engaging in a fisheries enforcement exchange with Coast Guard and community members.
