Good Samaritans rescue 2 near Ocean City, Md. (155.31 KB)
This 41-foot boat sank Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, 22 miles east of Ocean City, Md., with two people aboard. Good Samaritans aboard the boat Muffdiver arrived on scene and rescued the two people, who were aboard a life raft, and transported them to Ocean City. The boat belonging to Kevin Showell was spotted in the marsh in Big Fish Thorofare three miles east of Absecon Creek, N.J., Friday, Sept. 26, 2008. A helicopter rescue crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., a rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Atlantic City and members of the New Jersey State Police assisted in the rescue of Showell.
