KEY WEST, Fla. – The Charleston, S.C., based Coast Guard Cutter Gallatin is on its way to New Orleans to assist with relief operations after hurricane Rita and Katrina devastated the area. Here crewmembers of the Gallatin load much needed humanitarian relief supplies provided by the American Red Cross that the Gallatin will deliver. The crew of the Gallatin is expected to arrive in New Orleans today. -

Members of Port Security Unit (PSU) 307, based in St. Petersburg, Fl. deployed overseas in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) Feb.1. These are only the most recent St. Petersburg area units to deploy in support of the global war on terrorism overseas.
