District Budget Advisory Committee Submits Savings Recommendations to Superintendent
As many district families and businesses face challenging economic times, so does the Bellingham School District. With a growing state budget deficit and a state budget yet to be developed by the Legislature later this spring, the district must be prepared to reduce its budget for the 2009-10 school year as necessary.

2009-10 and 2010-11 School Year Calendars Set
The school year calendars for the 2009-10 and 2010-11 school years have been set, following staff and parent input, work by the District's Contractual Calendar Committee, and action by the School Board at the Feb. 12 meeting. Students in grades six through 11 and their families in the Bellingham School District will receive a Ready Guide in the mail. This guide outlines the district's graduation requirements, prior to high school course registration for the 2009-10 school year, which begins in March.
