• Reminder: Kindergarten Registration Begins March 2
  Families are encouraged to learn more about the Bellingham School District's kindergarten program by contacting their neighborhood school for the tour schedule and to meet the principal.
  
• Inclement Weather Procedures and Snow Routes for Buses

• Reminder: Budget Input to Superintendent Needed by Noon, Wednesday, Feb. 25
  The Bellingham School District reminds families, community members and staff to submit input to the Superintendent on the District's Budget Advisory Committee recommendation by noon on Wednesday, Feb. 25 through the district's Web site.
  
• District Budget Advisory Committee Submits Savings Recommendations to Superintendent
  As many district families and businesses face challenging economic times, so does the Bellingham School District. With a growing state budget deficit and a state budget yet to be developed by the Legislature later this spring, the district must be prepared to reduce its budget for the 2009-10 school year as necessary.
  
• 2009-10 and 2010-11 School Year Calendars Set
  The school year calendars for the 2009-10 and 2010-11 school years have been set, following staff and parent input, work by the District's Contractual Calendar Committee, and action by the School Board at the Feb. 12 meeting. • Watch for Ready Guide in the Mail
  Students in grades six through 11 and their families in the Bellingham School District will receive a Ready Guide in the mail. This guide outlines the district's graduation requirements, prior to high school course registration for the 2009-10 school year, which begins in March.
  
• District Outlines Next Steps in Budget Savings Process
  The Bellingham School District thanks students, community members and staff who submitted more than 800 budget savings ideas, and would like to remind everyone of the next steps in the process.
