District Receives Requests from Community to Accept Donations, Grow Foundation
Throughout the Bellingham School District's recent budget savings process, several community members submitted ideas urging the district to seek creative funding solutions by accepting donations for general districtwide support and growing the Bellingham Public School Foundation.

School Board Adopts Budget Savings Plan with Amendments
Following months of the Bellingham School District gathering budget savings ideas, publicly sharing draft proposals and incorporating input from staff and the community, the Bellingham School District Board of Directors unanimously adopted the enclosed Budget Savings Plan at its March 17 meeting.

Please contact our schools to learn more about program offerings, events to welcome new students and families, tour schedules and opportunities to meet school leaders. Families interested in enrolling their children in a Bellingham Public School outside of their attendance area or school boundary area are reminded about the district's transfer policy 3131 and procedure 3131P.
