District Students Score Competitively on SAT and ACT
High school students in the Bellingham School District scored competitively in the state and nation on the 2009 SAT and ACT exams, according to results released recently.

As a result of the recent contract agreement with the Bellingham Education Association (BEA) -- the teachers' association -- Friday, Nov. 20 has been added as an early release day for all students in the Bellingham School District. School Board Adopts District Budget for 2009-10
Following a public Budget Savings Plan process and adoption this spring, the Bellingham School District Board of Directors adopted a final budget for the 2009-10 year at the June 25 meeting. The $100 million budget includes an unprecedented expenditure reduction of about $2.5 million. Without federal stimulus funds, the expenditure reduction would be about $6.5 million.
