Media Availability: Coast Guard Sector San Francisco reminds boaters to be safe on the water |

WHO: Chief Boatswain's Mate Michelle Gallant, executive officer Coast Guard Station San Francsico WHAT: Chief Gallant will be available to speak on boating safety, especially safety over the July 4th weekend, and will demonstrate proper lifejacket use and other safety guidelines. A boat ride for the media has also been arranged for this demonstration. WHEN: 2 p.m. July 2, 2009 WHERE: Coast Guard Sector Due to the expected crowded waterways over the July 4th weekend, the Coast Guard is asking for the assistance of media outlets to ensure these messages reach the largest number of people possible. Media interested in attending please RSVP with a Coast Guard Public Affairs representative at (510) 772-8865 or via email. levi.a.read@uscg.mil because of limited room aboard the Coast Guard boat. The boat has room for six members of the media with camera equipment. ### :
