Coast Guard, State, Local Agencies Respond to Oily Debris on Area Beaches
MOSS BEACH, Calif., Pollution investigators from Coast Guard Sector San Francisco and California Department of Fish and Game Office of Spill Prevention and Response responded to reports of oily tar balls being washed ashore at area beaches this afternoon. More than forty contracted responders conducted clean-up operations and investigated the situation. The oil is being tested to determine the source.
