Coast Guard leaders introduce Response Boat - Medium

WASHINGTON — Senior leaders of the Coast Guard will provide remarks during a Response Boat - Medium (RB-M) introduction ceremony here Wednesday, 9 a.m. at James Creek Marina, 200 V. St. SW.
Assistant Commandant for Acquisition, Rear Adm. Gary T. Blore; Assistant Commandant for Capability, Rear Adm. Wayne E. Justice; and Richard McCreary of Marinette Marine, will provide remarks starting at 9 a.m. at James Creek Marina. Prior to the ceremony the RB-M from Coast Guard Station Little Creek will be available to the media for tours/familiarization rides. The beginning promptly at 7:45 a.m.
The first RB-M was delivered to Station Little Creek in April 2008, initiating delivery of an anticipated 180 RB-Ms over the next seven years. The RB-M will re-capitalize capabilities of the existing multi-mission 41' Utility Boats (UTB) and multiple non-standard boats.
