Maritime Service Chiefs join to discuss diversity at the Association of Naval Services Officers
WASHINGTON - The Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Gary Roughead, the Commandant of the Marine Corps Gen. James Conway and the Coast Guard Chief of Staff Vice Adm. Robert Papp are scheduled to appear at the 2008 Association of Naval Services Officers (ANSO) 28th Annual Professional Development and Training Symposium at Naval Amphibious Base (NAB) Little Creek in Virginia Beach, Va. on May 1 - 2, 2008.
The service senior leaders will discuss minority recruiting, leadership, diversity, and methods for assisting fellow Hispanics with their career management.
The event will also host a Hispanic flag officer leadership panel. Speakers will include Rear Adm. William D. Rodriguez, Rear Adm. Patrick H. Brady, Rear Adm. Jay A. DeLoach (Ret.), Brig. Gen. David C. Garza, Brig. Gen. Angela Salinas, Rear Adm. Ronald J. Rabago, and Rear Adm. Joseph R. Castillo.
The ANSO Annual Symposium is a professional development and training opportunity that brings civilian and high ranking military speakers to facilitate discussions on leadership, career development, mentorship, current initiatives affecting Hispanics.
