KODIAK, Alaska- Two teams from the Integrated Support Command Fire Department conducted Aircraft Fire Fighting and rescue training here Saturday. The objective of the two teams is to isolate the fire by splitting it in half with each team taking a quarter of the fire. The teams then sweep the base of the fire with water to push the fire out of the pit, putting it out. The temperature of the fire will reach between 1,200 and 1,500 degrees Fahrenheit.
