JUNEAU, Alaska – A young girl keeps a grip on her McDonald’s restaurant ice cream voucher she earned Saturday for wearing a life jacket aboard her father’s boat in Auke Bay Harbor. The Coast Guard Auxiliary here conducted a series of free vessel safety checks and tours. Saturday marked the beginning of National Safe Boating Week.
