Coast Guard coordinates Bering Sea rescue of four fishermen off Juneau vessel

JUNEAU, Alaska - Coast Guardsmen aboard a small boat deployed from the Coast Guard Cutter Munro work together to tow the life raft from the fishing vessel Carly Renee.The four fishermen from the fishing vessel Carly Renee made there way to the life raft after their vessel was taking on water and had to abandon ship.

The four fishermen from the fishing vessel Carley Renee made their way to the life raft after their vessel was taking on water and had to abandon ship 22 miles east of Unalaska Island.

JUNEAU, Alaska - The Coast Guard Cutter Munro, a 378-foot high endurance cutter homeported in Kodiak, is nearby the Juneau based fishing vessel Carly Renee.The Munro issued an Urgent Marine Information Broadcast after receiving a mayday call from a crewmember aboard Carly Renee reporting they were taking on water and abandoning ship 22 miles east of Unalaska Island at approximately 4:42 p.m Friday.

JUNEAU, Alaska -- A Coast Guard small boat deployed from the Coast Guard Cutter Munro heads toward the life raft deployed by the four men who abandoned ship from the Carley Renee Friday, Oct. 30, 2009..

The four fishermen disembarked the Juneau-based fishing vessel and were safely able to get into the life raft where they were later located and rescued by crewmembers from the fishing vessel Guardian 22 miles east of Unalaska Island.

JUNEAU, Alaska - The fishing vessel Guardian is neaby the capsized fishing vessel Carley Renee after rescuing four fishermen who abandoned ship who went into their deployed life raft 22 miles east of Unalaska Island at approximately 4:42 p.m Friday, Oct. 30, 2009.

The four fishermen were examined by a health services technician from the Coast Guard Cutter Munro and were reported in stable condition.
