Crews awarded for Acadia rescue

The commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, Adm. Thad Allen, and Sen. Susan Collins recognized Coast Guard crews in Southwest Harbor, Maine, Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, for their coordinated response after 20 foot waves swept seven people off the rocks in Acadia National Park Aug. 23, 2009.
