ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - Petty Officer 2nd Class Devin Horoszewski, a crewmember at Coast Guard Maritime All Hazards Response Unit at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay in Philadelphia, writes down commercial fishing vessels, which are in port at Barney Dock in Atlantic City, N.J., Dec. 9, 2009. 

The six-man unit has been tasked  with reporting all high-risk commercial fishing vessels in accordance with the Coast Guard’s Operation Safe Catch, which is focused on increasing the rate of compliance with safety regulations by interacting with the commercial fishing industry to improve their risk management practice.

The members of the unit respond to any maritime hazard, which bears a pollution threat to the environment, people or property.

The unit is responsible for training all Coast Guard stations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware in boom deployment to take the basic steps to safely mitigate pollution impact to the environment.
