Coast Guard suspends search for missing girl near Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA - The Coast Guard suspended its search at approximately 10:32 a.m., Wednesday for a 9-year-old girl who went missing in the Schuylkill River in the vicinity of 56th Street.

The Coast Guard crews searched areas of the Schuylkill River near Bartrams Park in Philadelphia repeatedly for approximately 11.5 hours.

Two rescue boat crews from Coast Guard Station Philadelphia were involved in the search.
