Woodbridge, N.J., native supports international effort to help Africa

Legare crewmember prepares meals on APS mission

ATLANTIC OCEAN - Petty Officer 3rd Class Jeffery Ladjack, a food service specialist aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Legare, prepares the noon meal for the crew during one of the Legare's port-calls while in support of the Africa Partnership Station mission Tuesday, July 14, 2009.

Ladjack, a native of Woodbridge, N.J., along with crew of the Legare, began a three-month long deployment, to several countries in west and central Africa in support of APS under the direction of Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, 6th Fleet.

The APS is an international effort aiming to enhance regional and maritime safety and security in Western and Central Africa.
