Coast Guard Cutter Seahorse changes command

James speaks to the audience and crew after assuming the duties of officer in charge of Coast Guard Cutter Seahorse, an 87-foot patrol boat, during a change of command ceremony at Integrated Support Command Portsmouth, Va., Friday, July 25, 2008.
James, who will be the Seahorse's second officer in charge, served as the Command Master Chief of the Coast Guard Atlantic Area prior to his assumption of command of the vessel.

Rieger with the Coast Guard Commendation Medal for his service as officer in charge of Coast Guard Cutter Seahorse, an 87-foot patrol boat, during a change of command ceremony at Integrated Support Command Portsmouth, Va., Friday, July 25, 2008.
Rieger was the first officer in charge of the Seahorse.

Rieger, who served as the first officer in charge of the Coast Guard Cutter Seahorse until a change of command ceremony earlier the same day, retired after 30 years of dedicated service.
