Coast Guard Cutter Northland gets new commanding officer

PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Coast Guard Cmdr. Thomas H. King assumes command of Coast Guard Cutter Northland from Cmdr. Christopher E. Austin as Vice Adm. Robert J. Papp presides over a change of command ceremony at Integrated Support Command Portsmouth, Va., Tuesday, July 15, 2008.

The Northland is one of six 270-foot medium endurance cutters homeported in Portsmouth, Va.
