Gleanings on Nov. 14th-
Hey friends, we have an exciting opportunitynext Saturday as a church body.  We have been invited to pick apples for those who are hungry and in need in our community.  This is the final day to pick and there is a definite need.

This is an opportunity to serve together as a church body and FPCers of all ages that are able to stay on task are invited to join us in a morning of picking and serving together, and maybe a little grinning as well.

Those in Bellingham are invited to join us at the church for a continental Breakfast at 8am.  We will then pile into cars and head out to be in Ferndale by 9am.  For those of you who live up North, you are invited to join us at the orchard.  Here is the info:

When- 8am at FPC or 9am at Sm'apples Orchard, 1197 Willey's Lake Rd., Ferndale

Special Directions and Parking: Driving from Bellingham, head north on I-5.  Take exit the exit for Grandview, turning right off the exit ramp.  Take a left onto Enterprise Rd.  Then a slight right at Harksell Rd, followed by a slight left back onto N. Enterprise Rd.
Turn right onto Willey's Lake Rd. and follow U-Pick apple signs to Sm'apples.  Please park in the large field in front of all the trees and look for the gleaners at the far side of the orchard.  We'll be starting at the back and moving toward the parking area.

What to bring: Water, hat, boots or sneakers, your favorite picking bin if you have one, any medications you require for allergies or stings

This is an exciting chance to serve together and I encourage as many of you that are free Saturday morning to join us and to bring your friends.  Sometimes our friends are more willing to join a church in service than a church service.

In His Gleanings,

Doug B.
