FPC Winter Book Club-
Our FPC Winter reading book is Brian McLaren's, More Ready Than Your Realize.  My Small groups have been reading and discussing this book for the past few months, it has been quite fascinating.

The book has tired to reframe and re-brand the ancient practice of evangelism in our contemporary society.  In the end it is still about relationships, about service, and about love.  I have been most excited about the people in our church who have been putting the principles of the book into action.  

The book has taken a whole new importance in light of a very big study that was just released this week.  The far reaching study was conducted using information from over 35,000 Americans.  It is one that many of us will be interpreting for many months.  Many of these findings affirm much of what McLaren said over 5 years ago. At our Lenten suppers we will be looking at some of the big findings of this study.  You are invited to check it out yourself if you are interested in these things
