MIAMI - The Coast Guard rescued two people after their vessel capsized 50 miles south of Andros, Bahamas, Monday morning.

Coast Guard search-and-rescue coordinators in Miami received notification that two persons wearing lifejackets were standing on top of their capsized vessel.

The Coast Guard immediately launched an HU-25 Falcon jet and an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station Miami.  Once on scene, the Falcon crew was able to deploy a liferaft to the boaters. Both boaters safely boarded the liferaft and were hoisted onto the Dolphin and transferred to Doctors Hospital in Nassau, Bahamas.
