DEPT. OF HOMELAND SECURITY FIRST ANNIVERSARY EVENT

AND PRESS CONFERENCE

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- The media is invited to join the Department of Homeland Security family at the Coast Guard Base in Old San Juan (La Puntilla) Monday for a special event celebrating the first anniversary of the Department's historic founding.  

At the event, local leaders of seven DHS agencies will deliver prepared remarks and will be available for interviews and Q&A sessions.  Additionally, DHS agencies will display and demonstrate selected equipment, tactics and techniques.

Highlights for March 1st

**Coast Guard helicopter flight demonstration**     **Coast Guard Cutters open for tours**

**ICE helicopter and boats on display**     **K-9 working dog demonstration**

**Law enforcement vehicles on display**    **CBP lab on display**

** X-ray screening systems on display**    **Press Conference with local DHS leaders**

**Speakers from  USCG, ICE, CBP, TSA, FEMAUSSS, USCIS**

The media is requested to arrive not later than 9:30 a.m.  There will be special parking on base for members of the media.
