A salute that signifies the passing of responsibilities overseen by Capt. Pat DeQuattro, commander, Coast Guard Sector Key West (middle), from Lt. Gibson (left) to Lt. Holm (right). KEY WEST, Lt. J. Sky Holm relieved command of the Kodiak Island from Lt. W. Scot Gibson during a time-honored, traditional change of command ceremony. In his opening remarks, Capt. Pat DeQuattro, commander, Coast Guard Sector Key West, said of Gibson, “You’ve borne the responsibility and burden of command exceptionally well. Lt. Gibson’s willingness to adapt to any challenges has been a hallmark of his career.” Receiving the Coast Guard Commendation Medal, Gibson was honored for his service and the performance of his duty as Kodiak Island's commanding officer. Gibson will be heading to the Seventh Coast Guard District in Under Gibson’s exceptional seamanship and Holm is reporting from the Coast Guard Cutter Chase, a 378-foot high-endurance cutter homeported in
