Coast Guard Air Station Miami to host Miami-Dade students at open house

MIAMI -- Coast Guard Air Station Miami is scheduled to host an open house Tuesday and Wednesday for Miami-Dade County school students.

On display will be:

  • HH-65 Dolphin helicopters
  • HU-25 Falcon jets
  • 25-foot Response Boat-Small rescue boats
  • Miami-Dade Fire Rescue trucks

The students, ranging from elementary to high school, will have the opportunity to meet Coast Guard rescue swimmers, tactical law-enforcement officers, narcotics dogs, flight mechanics, Officer Snook and more.

Air Station Miami expects to host nearly 1,000 students during the two-day event.
