Editor's note:  To obtain imagery taken during assessment overflights, contact Petty Officer William Mitchell at (512) 913-7781.

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Based on preliminary survey reports and in consultation with the bar pilots, the Ports of Charleston, Port Royal and Georgetown are open to commercial and recreational vessel traffic.

Mariners should not rely solely on channel markers and Aids to Navigation as they may have moved during the course of Tropical Storm Hanna.  Mariners should also be cautious of any debris in the water.  Remain vigilant, keep a sharp lookout and report all hazards to the Captain of the Port.
