Dear Members & Guests:
The much anticipated Microsoft Windows Vista™ and 2007 Microsoft® Office system was released to the general public on January 30, 2007. For our March luncheon we are pleased to invite Chris Avis of Microsoft to present on the features of this new operating system and new office suite. Whether you are an IT professional, developer or a small business owner don't miss this opportunity to learn about Vista from a Microsoft Professional first hand. The focus of this presentation will be on technical requirements for integration and compatibility, but you will also learn tips and tricks on how the redesigned interfaces, enhanced security features, and updated collaboration tools can help you build a more efficient, connected, and profitable small business.
Please note that this event takes place at the regular time but the location is the Lakeway Inn.
We encourage you to come early or stay late to allow time to come on board the 42’ Microsoft Across America Truck (see picture below) and experience Office 2007 and Windows Vista yourself. The truck will be parked outside the Lakeway Inn and is open from 11:30AM to 4:30PM. Mircosoft product experts will be on hand to offer hands on demos and answer any questions you may have.
This will be a popular meeting and seating is limited to 60, so please RSVP by Monday, March 12 by clicking as soon as possible. Members will be given priority to attend if RSVPs exceed the 60 limit.
Date and Time: Friday, March 16 from 12:00 - 1:15 pm.
Location: Lakeway Inn & Convention Center, Whatcom room, 714 Lakeway Drive, Bellingham, WA.

About our speaker Chris Avis
Chris Avis is an IT Pro Evangelist with Microsoft. He is charged with speaking to anyone who will listen about Microsoft Products and Technologies. While his focus is on Small to Huge businesses and the way technology can make the lives of their IT Professionals easier and simpler, he is just as comfortable talking to consumers about Vista, Office, Mobile solutions and even Media Center. Chris started his career at Microsoft in1994 as a contract customer service representative during the Windows 95 launch. Interestingly, he did not know who Bill Gates was or what Microsoft was prior to applying with the company. Why?
He was an Apple user and had been since the late 70's. Chris left the company as a contractor in 1996 only to return 1 year later as a full time employee supporting networking technologies for Windows NT 4.0 Server and client connectivity. He was one of the original 10 that supported the Small Business Server 4.0 products where he stayed for five years. In 2002, Chris took on the challenge of speaking to IT Pros and "evangelizing" the great products and technologies Microsoft delivers.
