Coast Guard investigates diving incident

PENSACOLA, Fla.  —  The Coast Guard is investigating the cause of a diving incident in the Gulf of Mexico, Saturday.

Coast Guard Station Pensacola received a report of a diving accident at the site of the sunken USS Oriskany, 26 miles south of Pensacola, Saturday.  The station launched a 41-foot rescue boat and crew to the scene and escorted a dive boat back to the station docks to an awaiting LifeFlight helicopter.  The man was air lifted to Baptist Hospital where he pronounced deceased.
