FOR MISSING SHRIMPER

NEW ORLEANS – Several U.S. Coast Guard units from the Gulf coast are searching today for a Vietnamese shrimper missing from the fishing vessel Lovely Jenny, 50 miles south of Morgan City, La., in the Gulf of Mexico.

A rescue helicopter crew from Air Station New Orleans, a rescue jet crew from Aviation Training Center Mobile, Ala., and the crew of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Pelican are searching for 45-year-old Tommy Ngo, who has not been seen by the crew of the Lovely Jenny since 11 p.m. Thursday.

The crew of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Razorbill is scheduled to relieve the Pelican crew this evening. The Coast Guard is scheduled to search throughout the night.

Ngo was last seen wearing brown pants and a brown shirt.

Cutters Pelican and Razorbill are 87-foot patrol boats homeported in Abbeyville, La., and Gulfport, Miss., respectively.
