COAST GUARD SEARCHING FOR MISSING MAN NEAR GALVESTON CAUSEWAY 

HOUSTON - The Coast Guard is searching for a missing man in the water near the south bound side of the I-45 Galveston Causeway Bridge this morning. 

A watchstander at Coast Guard Sector Houston/Galveston received a phone call at 6:13 a.m. from a Galveston Police Department.  The police department reported receiving a call from a city worker who was driving across the causeway this morning. The worked reported seeing a male wearing black pants and carrying a white shirt jump from the causeway.  The male had been walking north on the south bound side of the bridge.  

A rescue helicopter crew from Air Station Houston and a rescue boat crew from Station Galveston are searching for the missing man.
