COAST GUARD RESCUES 2 AFTER VESSEL GROUNDING 

NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard rescued two fishermen last evening from a grounded vessel approximately 22 miles south of New Orleans.

Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans received the report at 9:15 p.m., from a watchstander at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans that two fishermen  had run aground and their vessel was disabled.

Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans launched a HH-65C Dolphin rescue helicopter crew to assist.

The helicopter crew successfully located and hoisted the stranded fishermen.  Both were transported to Air Station New Orleans where they were met by their family.
