Coast Guard Sector Ohio Valley Deploys for Flooding

PADUCAH, Ky- Coast Guard Sector Ohio Valley has deployed two Disaster Assistance Response Teams (DARTs), today in response to flooding in Southeast Missouri near the Upper Mississippi River.

Additional DARTs teams located in Louisville and Cincinnati are on standby and are ready for immediate deployment to provide assistance in search and rescue operations for flood victims whthin the impacted areas. 

DARTs consists of seven person crews and are outfitted with three shallow water boats and an array of equipment and supplies.
