MOBILE, Ala. - Coast Guard members are scheduled to host a barbecue for families residing at the Mobile Ronald McDonald house Saturday, Oct. 13 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

As part of a long-standing tradition, newly promoted chief petty officers go into their local communities to reaffirm the Coast Guard's commitment to the communities of its members.

The Mobile Ronald McDonald house is located at 1626 Springhill Rd. in Mobile.
