VETERAN'S DAY CELEBRATION | ||

We will be holding our annual Veteran's Day assembly this Friday in the gym at 1:45. If you have a family member or friend who is a veteran you may want to invite them to attend, as we would like to honor their service to our country. Our space is limited but if you have someone who would like to come, they will be welcome to sign in at the office by 1:40 and join us in the gym at 1:45. Please RSVP to the office if you are inviting a guest so we can provide enough chairs. School Events November 8: It's time again for our annual Family Night at Village Books. 20% of all purchases you make that night between 3:30 and 6:30 will help purchase new books for the school library. Bring a flyer to identify you as a Happy Valley purchaser. Flyers will also be available at the store on the night of the event. Shop now for Christmas for all the readers on your list. November 10: PTA fund raiser for fifth grades at Pizza'zza. Mention Happy Valley and 15% of all pizza purchased on this day will go toward Bridge Builders Elementary Boys' Workshop Happy Valley Elementary School is hosting an interactive workshop for fifth grade boys in partnership with the Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center. The workshop is focused on teamwork, communication, understanding emotions, being a leader, and resolving conflict. Boys who participate will make new friends and learn new skills for working with others and solving problems. This workshop was designed specifically to meet the needs of elementary school-aged boys, creating a dynamic and interactive enrironment and utilizing a learn-by-doing approach.
