Nationally recognized author and math education expert Jan Christinson has been working with Bellingham School District staff to implement a balanced math program in all elementary schools.  Christinson will share information about the program and how parents may help their children at home during an information session at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 9 in the Central Services Board Room, 1306 Dupont St. District elementary school parents are encouraged to attend this free informative evening. 

The evening will include an overview of balanced math structure, the district's timeline for implementation, math facts instruction and assessment, ways to support your elementary students, and demonstrations of various balanced math techniques, followed by a question-and-answer session.
