Coast Guard hoists injured hiker from Olympic National Park, Wash.

SEATTLE - The Coast Guard medically evacuated an injured hiker near Lake Ozette in the Olympic National Park, Wash.

Coast Guard Group/Air Station Port Angeles, Wash., received a request at approximately 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, from rangers at the Olympic National Park requesting help for a 14-year old hiker who  fell and needed to be medically evacuated.

An HH-65C Dolphin helicopter crew airlifted the hiker and transported him to emergency medical personnel at Port Angeles.

The hiker's condition is unknown.
