Plant Master Plan Survey

Provide Input to Our Planning Process

After 53 years of working around-the-clock, the Plant's is wearing out. It is time to rebuild infrastructure, consider new technologies, and determine how to best use the Plant’s 2,600-acre property. To accomplish this, the City of San José and tributary cities are developing a Plant Master Plan. While the Plant site is large enough to accommodate different features and land uses, as the study proceeds, we will have to determine the mix and balance of uses, given limited resources.

Santa Clara Valley residents and future generations will be living with the results of the Plant master planning process for many decades to come. Please help us shape a plan that reflects community values by participating in our public input process. Follow this link to take the Plant Master Plan Public Values Survey.

The Plant Master Plan Public Input Survey was featured at the first Plant Master Plan community workshop in May of 2009. The input results are available in the Community Workshop # 1 Summary Report. When the list of alternatives is developed, all public input received through October 2009 will be used to help us evaluate those alternatives. A public opinion summary will be developed to accompany the final Plant Master Plan.
