Auxiliarist (GEORGE WASHINGTON) is cited for meritorious service while serving as Commodore, Thirteenth Coast Guard District Auxiliary from (MONTH YEAR through MONTH YEAR). Displaying inspired leadership, Auxiliarist (GEORGE WASHINGTON) expertly managed more then 1700 Auxiliary members in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. Under his leadership, the Thirteenth District Auxiliary expanded its reach into almost all Coast Guard mission areas, thereby becoming true force multipliers. Auxiliarists completed their qualifications as watch standers, ombudsman and as boat crews at small boat stations. Under his direction, Auxiliarists performed over 37,159 hours of Education, 116,229 hours of Operational Support and 375,866 hours of Administrative Services to the Coast Guard. Auxiliarist (GEORGE WASHINGTON) oversaw the institution of many important improvements that readily enhanced mission performance; he implemented the first restructuring of the District Staff Structure allowing for improved communication up and down the chain which delivered needed resources to the appropriate Auxiliary elements. Auxiliarist (GEORGE WASHINGTON) succeeded in building stronger relationships through the State Boating Law Administrator offices and with the District and Regional Recreational Boating Safety councils. Auxiliarist (GEORGE WASHINGTON) selflessly volunteered approximately 4274 documented hours during his tour as Commodore. His volunteer service, commitment and leadership resulted in an unprecedented level of Auxiliary support and outreach to Coast Guard missions. Auxiliarist (GEORGE WASHINGTON) continuously championed the interactions and accomplishments of the seamless working relationships between all components of team Coast Guard. Auxiliarist (GEORGE WASHINGTON) has been an outstanding leader and is highly regarded as a beacon serving in the most selfless manner possible for the members of the Auxiliary of District Thirteen. Auxiliarist (GEORGE WASHINGTON)’s dedication and devotion to duty are most heartily commended and are in keeping with the highest traditions of the Coast Guard and the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
