BPA’s Science Bowl tests students' knowledge in a fast paced question-and-answer format similar to the television quiz show, Jeopardy. Competing teams from urban and rural schools consist of four students, one alternate and a teacher advisor/coach. Elimination rounds narrow the competition to a final set of teams angling for first, second and third place.
The competition celebrates academic achievement and encourages careers in math, science and technology. Fourteen colleges and universities are showing their support by offering scholarships to the members of the top three teams.
