Satellite downlink: Tribal ceremony today marks signing of major salmon accords between tribes and federal agencies
Portland, Ore. - After a brief postponement of the planned ceremony earlier this week, Columbia River Basin tribes and federal agencies today finalized agreements that will bring more help to fish in the Columbia River Basin. A special tribal ceremony took place in the Columbia River Gorge today, with parties to the agreements signing a tribally-sourced deer skin that also unveiled the name of this new 10-year partnership: The Columbia Basin Fish Accords.

- Signing of the historic agreements on a deer skin by tribal and federal leaders;
- Images of traditional tribal singers and related tribal ceremonial activities;
- Stand-ups with federal and tribal leaders who will speak of these unprecedented accords;
