WWU Psychology Department to Provide Free Counseling Winter Quarter

BELLINGHAM - Graduate students in Western Washington University's Psychology Department will provide free counseling, under faculty supervision, for families and individuals beginning Jan. 8, 2009.

Western's Counseling Training Clinic has openings for families seeking counseling for a wide variety of family concerns. Appointments for families and couples are available Tuesday evenings from 4-6 p.m.

The clinic also has openings for individual counseling of adults, adolescents, and children. Appointments for individual counseling are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Counselors are trained to deal with a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, family concerns, relationship difficulties, vocational choices, grieving, communication problems, parent-child conflicts and childhood issues. 

The clinic will be closed Dec. 11-19 and Dec. 24-25.
