BELLINGHAM - Western Washington University's Dance Program will present Alan Good and his company alangooddance for the annual Summer Dance Concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, July 31-Aug. 2, at ...Ving!, WWU's dance studio at 311 E. Holly St. in downtown Bellingham.
Good, a former principle dancer with Merce Cunningham, has enjoyed an international career as a choreographer, dancer, teacher and even short film director. Good will visit Western for a teaching residency from June 23 to Aug. 2 where, among a number of classes he will teach this summer, he will act as an instructor for students enrolled in Dance 357 - Repertory, and will collaboratively create new works provided by his company with WWU Dance Program participants. The new pieces will be premiered by WWU Dance students and alangooddance at the annual Summer Dance Concert.
