BELLINGHAM - The Western Washington University Dance Program will present its annual Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Dance "Capstone Concerts" at 7:30p.m. June 5-7, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, June 7, at "...Ving!" WWU's Dance studio at  311 E. Holly in downtown Bellingham.

The Capstone Concert features a performance of "3 Ways In" with works choreographed and performed by BFA candidates Lena Traenkenschuh, Vanessa Wallen and Megan Riddle. Guest choreography by Frédéric Marier of Montréal Danse and a reconstruction of Hannah Kahn's "Only" will be included in the evening. In addition, Pamela Kuntz, of WWU's Dance faculty, and WWU student Sarah Schermer will present new works.

The Capstone Concert gives BFA candidates an opportunity to present their final works to the community. Lena Traenkenschuh and Megan Riddle, BFA candidates in choreography, created original group pieces for this event. Also, with the help of the Mentoring Undergraduates Grant awarded by the Western Washington University Foundation, Riddle will perform a historical reconstruction for her performance capstone. Wallen, a BFA performance candidate, will be a featured soloist in a new work by Kuntz.

Tickets to the annual concert are available through the WWU Box Office and cost $5 for students, faculty and staff, and $6 for general admission.  The Western Box Office is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Tickets will also be available at the door.  For individual tickets or disability accommodations, contact the WWU Box Office, (360) 650-6146 or visit http://www.tickets.wwu.edu/
