The Bellingham Police Department is asking for your help in locating a suspect vehicle involved in a hit and run crash that occurred late Wednesday night. The hit and run was reported at about 11:00 p.m in the 4200 block of the Guide Meridian.
The suspect vehicle was traveling south on the Guide into Bellingham and struck a 66 year old man as he was crossing the roadway. The vehicle left the area but left behind several car parts. One of the parts left behind was a black passenger side view mirror. The mirror is believed to be from a late 1990’s to 2003 Pontiac Grand AM.
A motorist reported seeing a vehicle driving erratically south bound on the Guide moments before the crash, that person told officers that the vehicle may be red.
The victim, a 66 year old man was transported to St. Joseph Hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition.
