The burnt remains of two structures that caught fire early Monday morning still remain blocks from Bellingham Bay. The fire scene investigation will be completed Wednesday. It is anticipated that the property will be turned over to the landowners, the Trillium Corporation, shortly after. Investigators met with the landowners earlier today to discuss the insurance policies and the upcoming abatement process. Rumors of large insurance policies were unfounded. The structures were covered for liability only. The abatement process will begin as soon as the property is released. The investigation into the actual cause continues.
